In 2010, the discovery of a previously unknown printed text led to the identification and attribution of an almost complete collection of church cantatas by Georg Philipp Telemann from the years 1736/37. The preface to the text names Count Jost Christian zu Stolberg-Roßlau as the patron; the associated collection of Telemann's church cantatas is referred to in research as the ‘Stolberg collection’. The present volume brings together the findings that have accumulated since that time on Telemann's ‘Stolberg collection’. On the one hand, it contains all the contributions from an interdisciplinary academic conference on this topic, which took place in 2023 at the Gleimhaus in Halberstadt and which examines the subject from
a German studies, theological, historical and musicological perspective. In addition, an appendix reproduces contributions on this subject that have been published in various places in the literature.
