Michaelsteiner Musik-Archiv

The series Michaelsteiner Musik-Archiv makes available ensemble music from the 17th and 18th centuries in scholarly editions for practical performances, with a particular emphasis on vocal and instrumental compositions originating from central Germany. The series presents only hitherto unpublished works, both in score and performance parts. The individual volumes are the fruit of musicological and performance-related projects initiated by the Stiftung Kloster Michaelstein. Both the scores and parts of the works published in the Michaelsteiner Musik-Archiv have been used and tested extensively in these projects.
